This is a warning for those hooked to oral sex or french kiss. Beware; the two behaviors can enhance infection of human papilloma virus (HPV) in the mouth. This is expressed by Dr. Maura Gillison in The Journal of infectious Diseases. Gillison and colleagues from The Ohio State University, Colombus, investigate oral HPV infection is associated with sexual behavior. Investigations carried out on 332 adults and 210 male age-level students. They saw 4.8 percent of adults and 2.9 percent of men students age have oral HPV infection.
Meanwhile, 28 percent of men students age who reported never perform oral sex but have at least five couples for french kiss, also has a risk of significantly higher on the occurrence of oral HPV infection. “Our records indicate that oral HPV infection that can become cancer trending can be transmitted through behavior such as french kiss,” said Gillison, as quoted Reuters Health.
It is also associated with gonorrheal pharyngitis, an infection that is transmitted to sexual tonsil and the back of the throat, and associated with oral HPV infections that can trigger cancer mouth next 10-20 years.
